Questions
Questions store operators ask
What counts as product at risk?
Any case, walk-in or freezer reading above the limit in your store's own food-safety plan, or a rack alarm that has not cleared. Call before you move or throw out product. We help you decide what to move; your plan and your local health rules decide what stays on sale.
Who answers the line at night?
A technician on the on-call rotation, not an answering service. If both on-call technicians are already on calls, you get a call back, and the target is 15 minutes. It is a target, not a guarantee.
Can you work while the store is open?
Most case, door and roof work is staged around open hours. Anything that shuts a rack circuit is planned with you for an early morning or overnight window, with product moved first.
Do you service CO2 racks?
Our technicians are trained on the refrigerants in current store systems, including CO2. Tell us the system when you call. If a job needs a specialist partner, we say so before we quote it.
Do you only work on racks?
No. We also service single reach-ins, glass-door coolers, ice machines at the front of the store and walk-in boxes, with or without a rack behind them.
How do you price a job?
By the job, in writing, before work starts. The how we quote page lists what drives a number and what a written quote includes.
Do you service ice machines?
The ones in the store, yes, including those with a remote condenser.
Can you take over from another refrigeration company?
Yes. We start with a walk-through and a written list of what the store has and what it needs.
Do you keep parts on the trucks?
Common fan motors, capacitors, valves and controllers. Anything unusual is ordered; the quote says which.
Who do I give my alarm list to?
Dispatch. We save the call order in the account and test it on the first visit.
Still have one?
Call, or send it with the form.
