How we quote

What drives the number

Every store is different, so every quote is per store and in writing. No prices on this page, on purpose.

  • Equipment and system size

A multiplex rack, a CO2 rack and a self-contained case are different jobs.

  • The part and the refrigerant

A fan motor is a short job; a compressor is not.

  • Access

Roof access, a lift or a crane; a locked machine room; a beer cave behind a stock room.

  • When the work can happen

A rack circuit planned for an overnight window takes more crew.

  • Permits

    Where the city requires them.

  • Parts and lead time

A stocked part is one visit; an ordered one is two.

  • How many stores, cases or doors

A route across several stores is quoted as a route.

What the written quote lists

Before work starts, you have this

  • Scope, case by case

Which cases, racks or walk-ins, and what we will do to each.

  • Parts and refrigerant

What is going in and what is coming out.

  • Labor and after-hours terms

How hours are counted, and what changes at night.

  • Permits and inspection

Who pulls them and who is on site.

  • How long the quote holds

A date, written on the quote.

  • What is not included

Anything we saw and left out, stated plainly.

What happens at the visit

When you get the number

For a planned route or a project. A call at 2 a.m. is quoted on the phone before anyone rolls.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Walk-through

We see the equipment and the machine room, and meet the manager.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Findings and options

In writing, with what each option does and does not cover.

  3. 03

    Step 3: The quote

Written, per store, with the lines above.

  4. 04

    Step 4: You decide

No pressure; the quote holds for the date on it.

  5. 05

    Step 5: Scheduling

Work set around your delivery days and open hours.

Questions

Questions about quotes

Do you quote on the phone?

For a service call, yes. We give you the visit terms before anyone rolls. A project or a route is quoted in writing after a walk-through.

Is there a charge for a walk-through?

Ask when you book. It depends on distance and scope, and we tell you before we come.

Can you quote a route for several stores?

Yes. Send the store list with the equipment at each and we will write it as one route.

Send us the store list

Equipment at each store, the delivery days and who we call. We will quote it in writing.
